Separation of Church

November 15, 2012

I have been thinking about the states that are partitioning to separate from the United States.  It is interesting that so many have now decided they want to be independent and separate from a developing socialistic government.  It is not wrong to stand up for our constitutional rights, yes we should, but before the Church misses an opportunity to be a part of what is happening in the spirit realm; we need to pray and seek the Lord.   The separation is not in the natural.  It is the separation from the world system and influences.  Before we get caught up in the political arena let’s look at this situation with spiritual eyes.

We are in the midst of the greatest harvest the world has ever known.  John 4:35 says, “Say not yet, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest. The Body of Christ must discern the times.  We may not have four months to reap the end-time harvest.  I know no man knows when Christ will return (Matthew 24:36), but unless you have been on another planet and haven’t heard the news recently…..there are prophesies being fulfilled left and right.

It is the Church’s spiritual responsibility to be set apart so we can give the hope of the Gospel to those that will receive the truth.  We are called to be a light set on a hill that cannot be hidden (Matthew 5:14).  As beacons the Church should be lighting the way to the One whose shoulder the governments of this world sit upon (Isaiah 9:6).

The Word says for us to come out from among them and be separate.  2 Corinthians 6:17-18  (NKJV)  17 “Therefore “Come out from among them And be separate, says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, and I will receive you.”] 18 “I will be a Father to you, and you shall be My sons and daughters, Says the Lord Almighty.”

To come out from among them and be separate will be uncomfortable and unfamiliar.  It will be at a great cost to everyone that chooses to do so.  Some of us will experience being rejected, misunderstood, possibly imprisoned or put to death.  The price for the eternal reward is already paid by our Lord Jesus, but our sacrifice for holiness here on earth has a price.

As we stand in the valley of decision to be separate may we choose the kingdom of our King and not the kingdoms of this world.
